As the founder of this organization, I'm often asked about the wellspring of inspiration that drives our mission. My unwavering inspiration is my remarkable grandson, Jacah Jefferson, a resilient Shaken Baby Syndrome Survivor. His journey began with unimaginable physical abuse at the tender age of 5 months, inflicted by a trusted family friend of his biological parent. These harrowing experiences left him with multiple disabilities, and he navigated a challenging path through the Child Protective Services System.
At just 7 months old, Jacah found his safe haven in my care as his step-grandmother. Through the trials posed by his mental and physical disabilities, Jacah has emerged as a beacon of strength, resilience, and boundless joy. Our lives have been marked by profound tests - financial, emotional, mental, and physical - yet throughout our journey, the unwavering hand of God has consistently provided.
This extraordinary journey with Jacah became the catalyst for my mission to extend a hand of appreciation and support to other grandparents who find themselves raising their grandchildren with disabilities as well as all special needs caregivers. Together, we celebrate the indomitable spirit of love and the resilience that emerges when love knows no boundaries.

HOUSTON — On Wednesday, January 23, 2019 Deborah Duncan sat down with the Founder of Love Has No Disability Inc., Stacy Williams and her grandson Jacah. After suffering physical abuse when he was a baby, Jacah became Stacy’s inspiration to create an organization that lets grandparents raising grandchildren with disabilities, know they are appreciated.
